What's "New" at the Library You can benefit the Library

The Albuquerque Genealogical Society is a non-profit organization, founded in 1972, with three main goals:

The Society offers frequent workshops and classes to beginning genealogical researchers.  The Genealogy Center in the Albuquerque Main Library at 501 Copper, NW is the meeting place for most of the AGS sponsored computer user groups and several research groups.  All are free and open to the public.  The latest information can be found in "Upcoming Events" and "Special Interest/Research Groups"

The Quarterly newsletter is published four times a year (May, August, November, February) and is mailed to members.

In cooperation with other local genealogy organizations, the Society subsidizes the Special Collections Branch (genealogy and local history) of the Rio Grande Valley Library System in its acquisitions. Each year the Society purchases books, microfilms, and microfiche for patron use.

We hope this web site will get you started in doing your family history research online.  If you're not a member, join our Society and come to visit with us at our monthly meeting and/or receive our Quarterly newsletter.  If you're a beginner at genealogical research, stop by the Genealogy Center in the Albuquerque Main Library at 501 Copper, NW and let one of the Volunteers help you get started.

Remember, the research you do today will benefit all the future generations of your family.  This research will be part of your legacy.

Write to us at: The Albuquerque Genealogical Society, PO Box 25512, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87125-0512, or contact us online for more information.
